Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive, ancient healing technique. "Rei" is the Life Force and "ki" is the Japanese word for Energy, akin to the Chinese chi or Indian prana. A Reiki practitioner channels this energy through light touch and/or working just above the body of a fully-clothed subject. At our most fundamental level, we are Energy. The extra energy from the Reiki healer is utilized by the recipient in whatever way is needed, acting as a sort of energy boast, analogous to jump-starting a car battery. Reiki is used to balance energy systems, for stress relief, chronic pain relief and can be learned and used for yourself and your family! Miguel Alvarez, LMT, certified Reiki Master since 1996, training at the Holistic Therapies Institute will be at the Center Friday afternoons.

Fee: $25.00 for a 1/2 hour session $45.00 for an hour session
